Course Description

This session talks you through the process for handling Police and Solicitor requests for data sharing.

The session will offer practical guidance including:

  • What to do if you get a request;
  • Checking if a request is valid;
  • Consent of the data subject or withholding data sharing from data subject (test of ‘prejudice’);
  • Statutory requirements and response times.
